Mary was the driving force in the successful growth of Dress for Success Palm Beaches. In five years, the organization moved to a new location, opened an office in Belle Glade, created numerous career programs, events and so much more which resulted in generating more revenue and community recognition.
Mary is well known and respected in the community we serve. She is not only brilliant at solving issues, but also strategic and forward-thinking. During the pandemic, we quickly developed virtual activities, not missing a beat in serving and attracting clients who needed our services more than ever. I have had the pleasure of working closely with Mary Hart for a number of years in my role as an ambassador, former board member, grant writer and personal shopper volunteer at Dress For Success Palm Beaches. Under her leadership, during the particularly difficult time of the Covid Pandemic over the past two years, the affiliate blossomed and moved forward. This accomplishment, together with her many earlier achievements when she first came on board as Executive Director, are a testament to a mixture of her sharp business acumen and empathy, as well as a strong belief in DFSPB’s mission.
Not only did she keep the West Palm Beach affiliate open and operating, but she also spearheaded switching in-person training programs and coaching to viable online courses, enabling disadvantaged women to participate in them during their search for securing employment to support their families. In addition, she accomplished a long-time goal of opening another boutique in Belle Glade, Florida to bring appropriate business clothing to its community of women unable to travel for hours to West Palm Beach to receive much needed clothing for job interviews and jobs they landed.
It has been an honor for me to know her and work alongside her to help provide disadvantaged women in Palm Beach County with the tools needed to thrive in work and in life.

Mary is an expert leader who is personable, courageous, inspiring, and approachable. In all my years of working with and coaching executives, Mary stands out as having the balance to motivate people and to move the organization forward with incredible skill, practicing change management with ease and without missing a beat. As one example, she transitioned a ten-week job training program from classroom to online in a matter of weeks, and was able to accomplish the mission of Dress for Success without interruption during the recent pandemic.
